Guide to Your Perfect Fireplace

Do not be confused when choosing the design of your fireplace.  The following steps help select the right Gel Fuel or Electric Fireplace.

Step 1: Decide on the placement of your fireplace.
Deciding on a spot for your Fireplace is the first step. This will determine what type will suit your needs.  Do you need a compact or corner unit? How large can it be?  Spend the day walking around your home.  See if your fireplace will interfere with the natural flow of traffic.

  • A Free Standing Wall Fireplace creates a beautiful focal point.
  • A Corner Fireplace creates architectural interest.
  • A Bookcase Fireplace adds storage and display space.
  • A Wall Mount Fireplace saves space.

Step 2: Decide on the type of your fireplace.
Do you want a fireplace for its beauty or for warmth?  A Gel Fuel or electric Fireplace may be decorative and heat efficient.
Are there any other special considerations?  Are you concerned about having heat during power failure?  A Gel Fuel Fireplace  operates during power failures. This may be when you need the heat the most.

A Gel Fuel Fireplace  may be placed anywhere.  There are no wires. There is no construction and no mess.  Gel fuel cans hide behind the logs. This creates a real fire effect.  They flame and crackle like real wood.  They use no gas or electricity.  Your utility bills are not affected.

An Electric Fireplace may be placed anywhere there is electricity.   You do not need Gel fuel cans to create that real fire effect.

Step 3: Decide on the features of your fireplace.
Establishing the design you like will help narrow down your fireplace search.  Your Gel Fuel or Electric Fireplace may be more than just a mantel.  Decide what best meets your practical and aesthetic needs.  Choose from our large selection of features.

  • Light to Dark wood finishes offer a wide range of color options.
  • Other finishes give a modern look to a classical piece of furniture.

Step 4: Choose the style of your fireplace.
What look do you want for your home?  If you have traditional furnishings, a classical design might be best.  For modern furnishings, a fireplace with clean lines may be suitable.

Gel Fuel and Electric Fireplaces come in a variety of designs and materials.  Do not assume that a fireplace will not work for you. You may match up your personal tastes to any number of styles.

Step 5: Determine any other needs for your fireplace.
Built-in shelves or accent lighting blend your fireplace to your room décor.  They create a unique area for enjoying your favorite items.

Step 6: Determine the cost of your Gel Fuel Fireplace.
Compare prices.  Also remember to compare sizes, there are many similar designs available. But, some suppliers will offer these designs smaller than others will.  Price is a concern. Gel Fuel and Electric Fireplaces cost as little as a few hundred dollars.

Step 7: Install and enjoy your new Fireplace!
